Klein- “Runs Reprise”

Though it’s over in what seems like seconds, new Hyperdub artist Klein’s “Runs Reprise” gets the most out of its scant runtime. In the 55 seconds the track runs, the London-based experimental electronic producer packs in effervescent glitch vocals, arrhythmically chattering break beats, thick coats of reverb and even an “extended coda” that makes you question when song itself really ends. Past work of Klein’s had this same sort of expertly crafted busyness to it but “Runs Reprise” feels like it’s been made with even more of an intent focus. When the accompanying EP, Tommy, does drop it’ll be exploding with ideas and limitless potential.

Tommy drops September 29 on Hyperdub and is available for pre-order on Bandcamp.
